An Open Letter to the Writers of Heroes

Dear Heroes Writing Staff,

You are this close to blowing it.

Here you had one of the best concepts for a tv show that I have seen in a long time. A quite talented cast, with some breakout performances.
And what do you do? You ruin it.

The first season was terrific. It blew me a way. What a great story you had to tell, and it was so well thought out.

What happened guys? Really?
You say that you used the power of time travel as a crutch - alright, I see it. So you create a storyline where some of the Heroes lose their powers permanently. Including Peter Petrelli, since he had absorbed time travel. This happens within the most convoluted story line ever. You left that Irish girl in an alternate reality. Remember her? I can only assume she ceased to exist when that version of the future became no longer possible.

But still I was willing to forgive you; provided you met my demands. They were as follows: return Peter's original power and under no circumstances kill off Sylar.
Then I was so excited, when Peter injected himself with the 'power serum' and flew off (having gained Nathan's power).

But then what happens? We find out Peter's power has changed, he can only have one absorbed power at a time.
Well you really fucked yourself Heroes, and here's why - a villain like Sylar can only exist if there is a Hero of equal power. Who can stop Sylar now guys? Oh sure, he's off looking for his Dad, but let's face it - he could wipe everyone out with a flick of his psychically charged wrist.
I do see a solution of sorts - obviously Ando can super charge Peter. But his effects on other Heroes seem only temporary. So then what? You've really dug yourself a hole here guys. Everything that YOU'VE EVER WRITTEN has led the audience to believe Sylar will go out for blood.

So I am still waiting for Peter to be restored to full powers, until I hear that has happened, I will be boycotting your ever-crumbling show.

However! If you don't restore Peter and instead decide to follow THE BEST storyline on the show, I will also come back. This storyline is of course, the story of Micah. A child so excited to have powers that he encouraged both of his parents to become the heroes they truly were. At first they fought him, not able to rise above their ordinary circumstances. Then, at different times, they both rose to the occasion, became heroes, and were killed saving others.
We never returned to their story. Not once. Somewhere out there, in the reality of Heroes, is a little boy who can talk to machines and lost his parents tragically. Will he give up his hopes of being heroic? Will he become a bitter villain? Or will he rise above it and vow to never let that happen again, ala Bruce Wayne?
Well, we may never know, because Heroes, you blew it.

So please, Heroes, fix it. It's easy enough to fix the Peter storyline or bring Micah back. Do one. Or even better, do both. I want to like you, I want to be excited to watch again, I want to quit filling with rage when I see an episode. Do whatever you have to do to get there, just get there. I can forgive you, just give me some hope.

Waiting to Be a Fan Again,
Tabitha Parker

p.s. If Hiro could stop whining, that would be great. You added him onto the show originally so one of the characters would be happy. Remember?

Final Headshots.

It's been a mass whirlwind of a few weeks, but I thought I would at least post the headshots I ended up with.

I will post updates of the last week shortly. Needless to say - it was nice to be in Texas for many, many reasons.
